Construction Notices

The University Student Union (USU) remains closed to pedestrian access for the duration of construction on the Future U project. Construction is anticipated to be complete by summer 2028.

Demolition of the University Dining Plaza (UDP) is ongoing and will continue through March 2026.

Review map below for detours and accessible paths around the construction fencing. Also visit the CSULB campus map, ensure the “Future U” layer is enabled.

The north Friendship Walk Stairs construction is ongoing and the full stairs will be open May 2026. The stairway construction ensures that ADA-accessible pathways remain available for the duration of the USU closure.

Campus shuttles are provided by Parking & Transportation Services as a free service to all students, staff and faculty. Please visit the Shuttle service website for more information.
