During the Future U construction project the Games Center services have moved.

Bowling, billiards and E-sports services are still available at different locations, giving students and the campus community access for events or leisure.

E-Sports Arena
Located in LIB 116 - First Floor of the CSULB Library. The Esports Arena will be closed for Summer Break from 5/17/2026 - 8/16/2026.

The brand new Games Center will re-open in Summer 2028.

We've partnered with Bowlero in Cerritos to offer free bowling nights for LBSU students. To attend, students must RSVP via the Games Center Events & Orgs page and present their LBSU ID for entry. Free food is available to attendees while supplies last.

Bowlero is open:
Monday 4–11 PM
Tuesday 11 AM–11 PM
Wednesday 4–11 PM
Thursday 11 AM–11 PM
Friday 2 PM–1 AM
Saturday 12 PM–1 AM
Sunday 12–11 PM

Billiards

Our billiards tables have been moved to the 3rd floor of the Sports Basement, located a few blocks from campus. Students can play for free, just bring your valid LBSU ID and check in with the Games Center receptionist.

This floor also features pickleball courts, table tennis, board game rentals and a piano to practice your skills.

Additionally, the Beach Pride Events office will be hosting a few LBSU nights throughout the semester, check our events calendar or their Events & Orgs page for more info. This space is also available for LBSU recognized clubs and organizations to rent for events as well. Please contact kristen.verdoia@sportsbasement.com for rates and info.

The Sports Basement is open:
Monday - Friday: 10am - 8pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9am - 7pm

Esports Arena

Gaming connects students through competition, creativity and community. Visit the Esports Arena @ The Beach, a dedicated student space designed for casual gaming, competitive play and connection at our on-campus library.

This interactive environment welcomes all skill levels — whether you’re new to esports or a seasoned player. Explore popular titles, meet fellow gamers and experience a space built for both fun and friendly competition.
